Privacy policy

You give us: your name, phone number and optionally an email address when you register; your city and state if you add them; and the content of the listings and messages you write.

We record as you use Oksalo: which listings you view and favourite, and technical data such as your IP address and device type, which we use to keep the service working and to detect fraud.

Your listings are public, including their photographs, price and the city they are in. Your public profile shows your name, rating, listing count and whether your phone is verified.

Your phone number and email address are never shown on a listing or profile. Buyers reach you through Oksalo messages. You decide whether to share contact details in a conversation.

To operate the marketplace — showing your listings to buyers, delivering messages, and keeping your account secure. To detect fraud and enforce our terms. To improve the product by understanding which features are used.

Listings are retained while active and for a period afterwards so that transaction history remains available to both sides. Account data is kept until you ask for deletion. Some records are retained longer where the law requires it.

You can view and correct your details in your profile, delete a listing at any time, and ask for your account and personal data to be deleted by emailing privacy@oksalo.com. We will confirm your identity before acting on a request.

We set a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work — principally the session cookies that keep you signed in. These cannot be turned off without breaking sign-in.
